Apparently, I do have more room in my studio for new items! :)
Below are crocheted, cotton hot pot mats, dish cloth & scrubby sets, and dishcloth with wine glass charms & hot chocolate sets. Perfect for teacher, hostess, & secret Santa gifts, as well as stocking-stuffers. All these items will be available at my shows and markets as well as in my studio.

August 2/16 ~ Trying my hand at mixed media
Update: this won a 2nd prize ribbon at the Lighthouse Country Fall Fair in September
I crocheted the 'hanging' frame with some jute and glued in place on the edges of the glass before starting. Next, I did the layout and glued everything onto the glass except the metal charms, some of which I still needed to hand paint. Once the charms were cured I glued them in place and then painted the back of the glass with an ivory pearl paint which looks kind of wavy when it is held up to the light. I lost track of the time taken to create this but it was completed in two days.

July 23/16 ~ No waste!
I don't waste anything. I made these crocheted retro inspired handbags, with bamboo handles, out of the cotton yarn remnants left over from crocheting dishcloths. 2 down, 1 to go!

July 19/16 ~ I'm hopelessly hooked on painting...
And that's a good thing, I think. LOL. The 1st two pictures are of, what was, a black iron votive candle holder that I revamped today. The 3rd is of a taper candle holder that I added some details to, also painted today. It makes for a great earring display. The Raven Skull earrings hanging from it are also hand painted by me. Now what else can I paint? Mwa ha ha haaaaa!

June 20/16 ~ Just a few of my new creations for Summer
From bold and chunky to more delicately hand painted items. This is just a small sample of what I have in my inventory right now. Some items are listed on Etsy while others are available in my studio. My passion for hand painting has evolved once again and I am now using glass/ceramic paints for an even more durable finish. March 9/16
You could say I've been a bit busy in my studio this year! I was asked by a local customer if I made mermaid blankets. I replied that I've never made one but I'm sure I could figure it out. I looked at a lot of patterns online but decided to make my own. The result was awesome and my customer, who commissioned a purple one as well as a pink one, was thrilled. I even made matching fingerless gauntlets. The fun part of this pattern is that the tail is hollow so feet can slip into it to flop it around. I had another local order for a bunch of cotton dishcloths, which I crocheted. I also managed to make a few new jewellery items and I will be bringing them to the market this coming Sunday. If you are ever in the Bowser area, on Vancouver Island, send me a message and I can arrange for a visit to my studio :)

Sold from my studio this afternoon from a customer who purchased items from me at the 2nd Sunday Market last weekend.
The first 4 pairs were hand painted by me :)

October 10/15
This is a little something that I finished yesterday.
I painted the trinket box first and then yesterday
added all the embellishment.
All the charms were hand painted by me.
Even the silver tone charms have a coat of
metallic graphite to give them an antiqued look.

And the winner is! ...
3 of the 4 items that I entered in the Lighthouse Country Fall Fair took home 1st place ribbons. So exciting :)

July 2015
My first market on Vancouver Island!
I will be selling at the Magnolia Court Outdoor Market in Bowser every Wednesday night until the end of August.
Market times are 5:30 PM to 8 PM

February 1/15
This is where I create and lovingly wrap my orders. I also have it set up so people can come and shop. After a few months of gutting, redoing the sub floor, properly installing vapor barrier, adding Wainscotting to the end wall and then installing baseboards and painting it a warm yellow my studio was ready to move into early last fall. The entrance is flanked by a little garden on the left and a Koi pond on the right, both of which were in serious need of my TLC. I really love my space now and enjoy when local customers pop in for a visit :)

I can't resist helping out a good cause. Especially when it helps a bunch of kids!
These are my silent auction donations for the Save Our Space Camp event in St.Albert, AB
These deserving kids are now raising funds for a second time after the company that was organizing it closed its doors taking the kids' hard earned money with them. There were 80 kids and 20 chaperones at $2500/person. You do the math. Click on photo to take you to my Facebook album of all the goodies you can bid on. 2013 Alberta Beach Farmers Market Starts May 12th!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.
This will be my 3rd year at the indoor market.
The market will be every Sunday from noon to 3pm.
